GoldPaw is a dogwear company dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their owners with thoughtful, practical solutions to everyday problems. Their products are proudly made in the USA, with a focus on reducing environmental impact, teaming up with partners like 1% for the Planet. Looking to improve the overall performance of the website, Goldpaw approached us to audit the website and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, and enhance the backend functionalities.

After meeting with GoldPaw’s team and establishing their immediate and long-term goals, we mapped out a strategic path forward and began by making design updates throughout the website to better inform and engage customers, while improving conversion rates. We took a phased approach, gradually reworking key pages to follow best practices without losing GoldPaw’s brand identity. Once the design updates were complete, we upgraded Craft, Craft Commerce and all applicable plugins to the most recent versions.

Once we completed the necessary Craft upgrades, we began implementing long-term e‑commerce strategies to not only improve the customer experience, but enable GoldPaw’s team to become more efficient and have greater control over the backend management of their store in Craft Commerce. Areas we focused on included inventory tracking, order processing, shipping and email integrations and the management of products, pricing and inventory in the CMS. We also created a custom plugin to enable data to automatically sync from Craft into QuickBooks as entries are created, modified and deleted in the CMS.

When establishing ongoing relationships with clients, it’s important to be a strategic partner when discussing both short- and long-term goals, providing solutions that advance their goals into the future. With GoldPaw, we began with incremental changes in the short term to improve the user experience and increase conversions, with an eye on enhancing the backend functionalities to allow GoldPaw’s team to become more efficient in accomplishing their goals. Our team was able to create custom design, development and e‑commerce solutions that allow GoldPaw’s team to do what they do best, improving the lives of dogs everywhere.

  • Created a custom Craft plugin to integrate QuickBooks with Craft Commerce
  • Integrated Craft Commerce with ShipStation to enhance their fulfillment capabilities and automate the overall management of the shipping process
  • In advance of the holiday season, we implemented a phased approach to execute GoldPaw’s most important e‑commerce enhancements first, while still completing all upgrades before the end of the year
