We’re hiring a project manager
Good Work is growing our project management team to support our growing client base. This person would be responsible for leading a combination of large projects, retainer accounts and supporting the maintenance part of our portfolio; and would report to our Director of Project Management. There will also be the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of clients and projects, with the potential to expand your role and support your career development.
While we are looking for someone with 3-5 years of experience in project management, we also know that project management experience can come in many forms and titles. Experience with managing digital projects and/or website development at an agency is a plus, but we invite you to apply if you are a hardworking individual who is solution-oriented, thrives in collaboration, is obsessed with organization, and has fine-tuned these skills in their professional history.

Responsibilities
- Project Planning
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive and positive working environment to maximize team efficiency.
- Facilitate communication and information flow among team members in a remote working environment.
- Client Interaction
- Act as the main point of contact for clients in your portfolio, providing regular project updates and addressing inquiries.
- Manage client expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Gather client feedback and incorporate it into project improvements.
- Budget and Timeline Management
- Monitor project scope and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered as required in the most efficient way possible.
- Quality Assurance
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality websites.
- Conduct thorough testing and review to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, action items, and project artifacts.
- Collaborate with the project management team on process and project documentation to maintain an accessible and up-to-date document repository.
- Continually evaluate project management systems and processes and contribute suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of experience in project management (or position with similar responsibilities).
- Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to follow processes while also thinking creatively to solve unique challenges.
- Be comfortable navigating difficult conversations, staying focused on solutions and compromises.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with project management software. Good Work uses the following products, so direct experience with them is a plus.
- Slack for internal and external communication
- Linear for project management
- Notion as a knowledge-base
- Harvest and Forecast for scheduling and billing
- Front for collaborative email
- Basic understanding of web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with web development technologies and best practices, particularly Craft CMS.
